Let’s see here - broken shoulder, second place in Giro. Broken collarbone, 4th in the Tour. Both times better than he had ever done before. Quite clearly we should all go out and break something to get to the next level of performance.
Yeah – I got my vas deferens severed, and then went out two weeks later and broke the two-hour barrier in the half marathon.
Well, maybe that’s actually not that great…hmmmm…
