Edited by Jeff Jones Hamilton suspended for two years

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has announced the long awaited decision of the independent arbitration panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA)/North American Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), that cyclist Tyler Hamilton of Boulder, Colorado committed a doping infraction by transfusing another person’s blood. The 34 year-old Hamilton received the maximum two-year suspension for a first-time doping offense.

Damn it, I’m such a sap and a sucker. My first reaction is “He got screwed.” I just don’t want to believe that he did it. My personal issues aside, it is definitely a good thing to see serious doping suspensions handed out.

Color me sucker as well! I really wanted him to be clean. To me he was the “thinking man’s Lance Armstrong” as in all results not a lot of flash. I found Tyler very likable in his interviews. I never l"liked" Lance in his interviews.

Say it ain’t so!
