Turo for bikes?

Does anything like Turo (car sharing) for bikes exist? I’m traveling to Bermuda next week, and would like to bike while there (I know it’s the other side of the road, but the plan would be to get out early). I do have a bike box and could bring a bike along, but that is a bit of a pain travelling with my family and everything that entails.

When I was in Bermuda pre-pandemic there was a multi-day bike race that had a hill climb in St. George, where we were staying. Tons of folks on fancy road bikes. I’d imagine there is someone there with a spare bike, but there doesn’t seem to be any way of bike sharing like there is with car sharing. Is there a market for this for when people travel??

Never used them, but Spinlister does what you’re describing. Not sure how wide they are though - local bike shops might be a better bet in many places.

I am actually a bit surprised SpinLister is still around. I believe a few years ago (maybe 2014-2016 time frame) they were marketing with Ironman in some capacity. It doesn’t seem that it ever really took off. I poked around the website in a few different city areas and the bike selection is still pretty minimal, especially for anyone looking for a decent road bike (I didn’t see one tri bike in the larger metropolitan areas I searched, but may have missed).

Would be nice to have something like this but I am not sure I would want to rent any of my bikes out, but that is just me

Looks like they shut down at one point, got bought out, and changed the core model to be more backend for rental shop focused - https://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-gear/bikes-and-biking/spinlister-bike-rentals/ - they do seem to have personal bikes listed here in Los Angeles, but it also looks like they only provide $1000 of insurance for the bikes (and unclear on liability) which makes it kind of surprising anything beyond cruisers are listed.
