I just signed up for this race next Sun 8/9 in Freehold, NJ.
Any St’ers running this? They have a 10m, 25k, 20m, and 50k
bump
3 days away from second 50k this season.
Thought about it as a training run. Do you know how long each loop is? What’s the course like?
Scott,
I did the 20 miler a few years ago. I believe that each loop is a little over 2.5 miles. Most of the run is on soft trails, and it gets tight in some places. It’s a great race, and the loop provides a way for you to check your pace. It’s pretty flat and a lot of shade as well.

Thanks for the info. Looking like I’m going to have to skip it, but have friends running that will be interested to know.
Thanks for the info. I had no idea what I was getting into. I guess 12 2.5mile loops isnt that bad (pink font)
well just happy its over. wasn’t expecting much since I only signed up a week ago and hadn’t really trained but gave it a shot.
Ended up running an extra 3miles as they mis-counted my laps. Finished in 6hrs. Not a bad course, 12 loops or 13 for me. lots of grassy fields, dirt roads and some trails. everyone was super nice. would def run it again but will keep better track of my laps myself.
Congrats. That’s a lot of running. I hear you - it gets tough to count the loops after a while, especially with 12. I heard they changed the course a little to do the loop backwards than they previously did as well as add more grassy sections.

Poor Jason’s only got 10 fingers.
that was the same thing i said after the race, that they must have run out of fingers b/c how hard is it to count. oh well. it is what it is.
