Regular user of Zwift and Trainer Road but looking for an app that has the functionality to cycle a route (either created or uploaded GPX/FIT) in google street view or earth and also change the resistance of the smart turbo. Anyone know of such as have a few races coming up I would like to virtually ride first. Must run on MAC OSX also.

I’ve done this on a Tacx setup and it worked quite well. It was an older model and needed a PC laptop with some decent grunt to run the software.

I’ll see if I can find out from someone at my old bike club - it was a few years ago before I moved back to the southern hemisphere.

I would also need a Mac version. Surely someone is doing this.
I’m also interested in any Mac applications to enhance my trainer time. Zwift and TR are good with Mac but the only two IMMT interactive sources I’ve found require windows.

I am thinking it was Tacx Training Software using Real Life Videos & Real Life Training which used to use the Google Earth API that was deprecated this past December and TTS has been updated to account for the change. Unsure whether this this still works or not, but I do know it is a source of discouragement for many who had recently purchased/renewed Google license from Tacx to access the functionality.

With a smart trainer the resistance will change according to the current grade. Video will playback at variable rate according to your speed on the trainer. As close to actual riding as you’re going to get.
