Just put my bike in for its spring tune up. A friend of mine puts on a new chain each season. Any point to this?

I think you are better off checking the chain with a chain guage that will tell you how much tension is still left. You can buy the Park tool gauge and it’s very simple to use or you can just have your LBS check it for you. Good Luck.
