I will eventually had to buy new tires for the next race (IM Klagenfurt/Austria).
In my country I can easily find Tufo tubulars (S3 Elite), everything else of higher quality is harder to find.
Should I wait and buy tires in Expo in Klagenfurt (I an not a huge fan of putting anything new to my bike in a days prior to the race), or buy now Tufo’s and make a few rides.
How faster are Conti Competition or S-Works Turbo or…
Tufos make great spares, as they roll-up small. But as a main tyre I’d look elsewhere, as their Crr is very poor compared to most others.
You should be able to get Contis, Vittorias or Zipps for example, online in Europe. I bought a set of the new Zipp SL Speed tubs from Germany this year, as the £ is strong against the € right now. Look on ebay too, loads of new tyres on there as well.
