Tubular mounting supplies

Ok so I have all winter to get this right and I’m really quite determined to learn how to lace up a glue monster with some skill, but realize it’s gonna take some time and patience. The LBS goons here did the most embarrassing job every on my buddies 808’s that I may as well do it myself. I would have refused to pay as they have glue chunks all over the rim!

  1. What is the best cement?
  2. Any suggestions on other tools?
  3. Can I use a clincher rim for pre stretching or does it need to be a tubie?
  4. Web resources?

From the threads I read in here there are so many suggestions, but very few seemed like they were from experienced tubie guys, more like ‘i heard this can work well’.

Thanks for the advice all!

head over to Zipp’s site, they have an excellent primer video
.

Call World Class Cycles on Long Island. They’ll set you ight and even if you don’t buy, give you great pointers and tips!

I find that the single most important tool is a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.
