Hello
The Pro One TT (tubeless) tyre are easily mounted on the Dt Swiss Arc Dicut 1100 or 1400?
I had tried with Continental GP5000 TL is was too complicated for me.
Thank you for your opinion
.
I have DT Swiss Arc 1100 wheels (20mm inner width). By now I’ve tried to (tubeless) mount following tires:
- Schwalbe Pro One 25mm and 28mm
- Continental GP 5000 S TR 25mm and 28mm
- Continental GP 5000 TT TDF 25mm
- Vittoria Corsa Speed G2 28mm
The easiest to mount were Vittorias (mostly just a floor pump with a very quick pumping). Then the Continentals (a bit of manual work around the valve to seat the tire beads; managed with a floor pump but rarely in a first attempt). The worst for me were Schwalbe, I couldn’t get them seated with a floor pump no matter what. Managed when used manual work around the valve and a tubeless pump, but even then I felt that these seated very lightly - I remember being afraid, that they’d simply jump off the beads…
I use a canister that I pump air into - over 100 psi from my floor pump - then you can release the air into the tire quickly to set the tire beads in place. I have the Airshot canister, but there are other options that do the same thing.
G5000TL are quite tight - get the 5000s TR if you want to use contis on TLR rims
