Tsunami bikes

Anybody know much about this brand? I’m kicking around buying a cyclocross bike from them to commute on and was wondering if anybody has or had one of their road or TT/Tri bikes?

they are generic chinese POS frames sold cheap. they will hold the wheels of a bike while you sit on it and pedal ( or in your case hop on/off too ) OK.

If you’re talking about the Tsunami’s that www.chucksbikes.com sells I have seen a few of them that friends have purchased. I’ve also built up a couple for them. Quality looks about the same as most of the big brand aluminum frames out there. Some of the frames he sells are name brand frames that he buys from the manufacturer but is required by them to remove their brand name. Every person I know who’s bought one is happy with it and the service they got from Chuck, which I guess is the best endorsement.

I’ve purchased 2 frames from him. Economical and a great cost/performance ratio. First was a road frame for my son. Aluminum with carbon chain stays and carbon fork (aluminum steerer). Price was $189 plus freight. He’s had the bike for 1 1/2 years. It does have a small crack on the drive side rear dropout but has 5000 miles on it too.

I bought the TT frame ($385 f/f and headset) this year for my TT bike. I’m very happy with it. WM Lewis has the same frame “on sale” for $695. Again, for the price, it’s excellent.
