I have been asked by my work to find tickets to a very popular, sold out concert. The only option is a ticket reseller. I have never used one so I am out of my depth here.
What ticket reselling sites or companies are legit or would you recommend? I don’t need the cheapest company, I need one that will ensure we get real tickets.
Thank you!
Used stubhub.com and seatgeek.com multiple times for concerts football and hockey tickets with no issues.
As TriDave said, stubhub has been reasonable the times I’ve used them.
If you’re buying for an Oasis concert, be careful. They’re cancelling secondary market tickets for the 2025 tour.

I’ve used Stubhub multiple times in past for popular tickets like Adele and Taylor Swift. They came through without issues and do have a guaranty on authenticity and that they’ll get you to the show.
My brother had issues with tickets to Adele through Stubhub as initial seller never transferred the tickets. Stubhub was able to get him better tickets for the show. They probably ate thousands of dollars in losses as the new tickets were much more expensive and last minute.
I pretty much stick to Ticketmaster but have used StubHub and VividSeats.
Does StubHub guarantee to get you to the show if the seller never transfers the tickets? They may make an effort or offer alternatives, but my understanding was that the guarantee is that you’ll get your money back.
I have used Stubhub and Vivid a lot. Big events (baseball playoff games), regular sporting events, concerts, small concerts, etc. Never a problem.
It is money back but that’s if they can’t get you tickets to the show. For my brother, he traveled to Vegas and that’s where he found out issues. They tried to push to next day’s show but that didn’t work for him. After a lot of back and forth, they found him tickets to the same show he bought tickets for but like in 2nd row vs. his original which were further back. They didn’t bring up the refund option with him and focused on tickets.
But I’ve read about bad experiences where people traveled to a show and Stubhub couldn’t get tickets so they got refund which isn’t very helpful as you’re still out the travel costs.
In addition to stubhub, which I habe used for 10+ years for many events, Cash or Trade is a newer option. Sellers have to sell for what they paid.
Though, for popular, sold out events it is more of a challenge. For phish at the sphere, I had to resort to stubhub, and thus overpay.
Stubhub has some buyer and seller protections, though some friends have had issues selling, due to upload issues.
CoT, dont pay for gold. There are issues known, and acknowledge by the platform currently that are yet unfixed. Reddit threads posted daily, and deleted daily by CoT… I had to file a chargeback, after waiting 2 weeks for a refund that they said was coming within 1 week.
Have had good results with Stubhub and Vividseats. Recently, with Vivid, I got the tix within an hour of placing my order.
Sometimes Ticketmaster itself resells tickets to shows it sold the original tickets for. Those are usually guaranteed to be legit.
