With the turnover so high in his last administration, I find it hard to believe that this will be any better. I expect that several will suffer the same fate as many on the last did, so who do you think will come out better for it and who will come out worse?
Here is the full list along with a summary of each one
These are some of the notable ones.
Treasury Secretary - Scott Bessent - Hedge fund CEO, donor, LGBTQ
Secretary of State - Marco Rubio - Senator
Director of National Inteligence - Tulsi Gabbard - former Democratic congressmember
Defense Secretary - Pete Hegseth - Fox host, former Army National Guard Major
Attorney General - Pam Bondi - Florida’s Attorney General 2011-2019
Yeah, more likely he comes out worse off than if he had taken the easier path of building power as a senior Senator. Jeff Sessions is a cautionary tale on trading a Senate seat for a hot seat in a Trump administration. But, maybe Rubio figures he needs a re-set in order to improve his standing in the party.
Re-set and losses. I see Rubio as the foreign policy adult in the room. A definite rival and not a ring kisser. He can take credit for this hemispheric sphere of infuence campaign and thwart the pending hegemonic rise of the Trump family. Like Mattis he will resist the ridiculous and re-set and position himself well for when it all goes sideways.
I fear he Trump has learned his lesson, he is not putting anyone in place, that will stop his plans or slow him down, as happened last time.
Our only hope is Congress, but the ground work is laid, to just ignore them, and the court is in place to support that.
I expect a lot of legal challenge’s in the coming years.
All those clowns above, will just be sewing the chaos Trump wants, they wont get in his way for anything he wants to do, and they will pause what they are doing to make him happy.
Bought extra popcorn, gonna be fun to watch. Expect congress flips again in 2 yrs, and then it will get really exciting… Expect as some point, trump to threaten to bring the Military into the Capitol.
I’m guessing that there will be a third (and very warranted) impeachment if he isn’t removed by Vance before the midterm elections. We all know that he WILL commit a number of impeachable offenses. The question is whether the Republicans (with encouragement from Vance) will be tired enough of him that they risk losing his supporters.
trump already whipped his fans up enough to try and kill his last vice president, why would Vance think that wouldn’t happen again if they tried to remove him?
This isn’t complicated, everyone knows trump will put their lives in danger if they cross him.
I suspect that Vance might make a move if 1 - trump’s mental capacity diminishes in a very obvious way, 2 - trump does something that is egregious enough that he loses support, 3 - Vance has done things to win over maga.
Vance could do it in a matter of "I love trump as much as the rest of you and he has been America’s greatest president, but sadly he has diminished mental capacity and we need to get him out of the White House so that he can get the care and love that he needs. He might could get Don Jr. to help. He could frame it as he’s doing it because he loves trump and is trying to help him.
Or, he could just wait until trump is physically unable to continue. But I think that he knows how this administration is going to end and he will try to find some way to protect himself.
trumps mental state would need to deteriorate so much he wouldn’t know he was no longer president. As long as he knows, he will tell his fans to go after Vance.
there is nothing so egregious trump’s fans would back down.
maga doesn’t care what Vance does. It doesn’t even care what trump does. How many times has trump done the opposite of what his fans supported and then they jsut changed their mind and said “ignore what we said before, this is what we want”. It is a cult.
Vance could try to get some R congressmen to agree that DJ can’t hold the office anymore and enact section 4 of the 25th. He could just convince the majority of the cabinet, but they are all yes men.
Or he could just bide his time and convince DJ he should double his fast food intake and hope he kicks it in 25 months.
How many of those are actually loyal to trump versus being loyal to whoever has the power? Assuming that there is a high turnover in the first 2 years like there was in his last administration, whoever is there will probably be looking for an “out”. Vance, Thiel, and maybe Don Jr or Musk may be able to offer them one.
