Looking to buy a non-motorized (curved) treadmill. I like the Trueform model the best compared to the Assault and Woodway. Anyone actually have one? Would appreciate your feedback.
I’m curious as well. Trueform has a lot of claims about it fixing running form issues. Their website has quotes from Slowman and Bobby McGee and the company has an affiliation with USA Triathlon. I do remember Slowman saying he would give us a more in depth review of the machine but I could never find it on the site.
I have the trueform trainer. I bought it based on review from Tririg.com but they revamped their website recently and I can’t find it. In their review, they preferred the feel of trainer over the runner.
I think it is great, it feels more like real running vs traditional treadmill. I’ve had mine since last fall. It feels similar to running on a Woodway (I’ve only ran on non-curved motorized one) though harder. My HR and RPE don’t match the pace on display or my RUUN. I think dcrainmaker commented that size of person makes a difference on non-motorized curved TM. It requires more effort for smaller people. I’m on the smaller end, 128-45 lbs (still working on trying to loose my post injury followed by COVID wt gain).
As a side note, customer service is great. I had a defective unit. After a few months the belt would occasionally rub on the fairing. They sent out a new deck, sent over a technician to swap deck and then picked up old deck.
