No excuse for this behaviour (the truck driver) even if the teenager did something stupid or belligerent. I’ve been hit by a pick up truck before while on my bike. Not fun!
At least it sounds like the kid was only injured, not killed. Small condolence.

And what stereoptype might that be, that would be any different than if you put that same guy in any other kind of vehicle??
Gee, I’m confused? I drive a pick-up and ride a bike. what kind of person does that make me? That’s like saying only sport coupes speed!
I’m not saying that ALL drivers of pickup trucks are this way, but I have noticed that of all the people that I get bad attitudes from on the road, the vast majority of them are folks in pickup trucks. Just an observation.
