Triswim Bodywash

Can anyone vouch for Triswim body wash or other post-swim soap? I used Triswim’s shampoo for a while and had to stop - too harsh on my scalp. That said, I am swimming four times per week and Dove bodywash just isn’t getting the chlorine out. What works for you?

Brillo Steel Wool Soap pad for the taint and Lava bar soap for the delicate areas.

I just use chlorine as cologne.

never used any of the triswim products but a little oil on the skin usually takes away the chlorine smell, baby oil, or if you don’t like that smell even olive oil works. Grapeseed oil has almost no smell and is sold in those huge bottles at costco. it’s really good for the skin too.

Have you tried changing up on your wash towel? I’ve been swimming since I was a kid so it doesn’t bother me much.

I use whatever comes in those little bottles from various hotels. Seriously, any soap will do. And any cheap old conditioner added to your hair a few times a week will help keep your hair from feeling like crap. If you skin is dried out then just keep a small bottle of lotion with you and apply.

I’ve used it…seems to help but can’t say as there is no ode de chlorine left.

My problem was I kept leaving it in the shower at the gym, so I stopped buying it!

Very economical and more gentle. I just bought 7 bottles to get free shipping. Price is about half or less of most swim shampoos and it works.

Great idea, will try it. Wife and kids are on my case over the eu de chlorine! Thanks.

It works for me, and I like the smell.

Neutrogena body wash and body oil are good for the skin and will kill the stench.

I use Soap+ http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/8281.htm
When I use that and scrub with it, I find it really gets the chlorine out.

I think its just another product that does the same thing all the other ones do…clean you skin!

I personally have used just about every swimming soap and triswim is that best that I have found. Also purchase their lotion which gets out every bit of chlorine smell left on your body that the body wash missed.

If you’re interested in getting rid of the chlorine smell and eliminating dry skin and hair post swim, try swim spray (www.swimspray.com). The stuff is legit. I have been swimming my entire life (from age group all through D1 college) and this is the best product I’ve used.

Full disclosure: I have no affiliation with the company but the founder (who now has a PhD in Chemistry) is a former teammate of mine. However, the product stands on its own.

Interesting. I’ll try that as well. Thanks.

Tried all three of the TriSwim products and they did nothing for me. Sounds like others have had good results, but I couldn’t tell any difference between TriSwim and ________ (insert: Lever 2000, Shikai, Dove for Men, Nivea, or plain 'ole Dial). Didn’t notice any additional moisturizing, chlorine odor was the same, etc.

As a post note, my wife was just hugging me and I asked her if she smelled chlorine - I swam five hours ago. She said yes, but it is drowned out by the smell of the bourbon I am drinking.

Found a solution.

A thread about body wash.

Next thing I know we’ll be talking about salad spinners and hair products.
