Trisuits (3)

Hi Everyone,

I’m fairly new to the world of triathlon. I have completed a 70.3 and have decided to try a full distance race.

Do I need to wear a Trisuit that is specifically designed for a full distance?

I would assume comfort being a factor in this thought process. I have a trisuit that I used in my 70.3 race, but I’m wondering if I need to upgrade?

Thank you in advance for your expertise!

Folks typically use the same type of suit for 1/2s and fulls. As long as the suit/pad is comfortable you should be fine.

Some people will switch to a two piece design for a full to make pit stops easier, but that’s a personal call.

No.

There are some suits that have some nice features like extra pockets for nutrition and ice, but there are other ways to accomplish the same things.

Position one Tri suit has been fantastic for me

The padding is actually in a different place than regular trisuits. It’s where your weight is when you are in the aero bars

They also have a sale for Black Friday

You dont have to wear a tri suit at all if you dont want.

You can wear any cycling kit or skinsuit and change into running clothes in T2. (as long as you are ok spending the time doing that)
