Since I haven’t been able to travel because I’m Executor for my Dad’s Estate (since November), I decided to mix up my training for Triple T. This time I’m doing it solo, as opposed to last year being on a 2-woman team.
3 weeks ago I did a 1/2 IM solo. Race report here.
This week, I did a solo sprint yesterday and 2 Oly’s back to back today.
In 3 weeks, I plan to do an Oly on Saturday and a 1/2 IM on Sunday. Hopefully, those will be done all outdoors!
Don’t laugh at my times–I’m old and not very fast, and also not tapering for this training stuff. If nothing else, it’s making the endless Chicago winter go by faster.
what happened to your partner? I think as long as you’re rolling a half ironman basic week with a little extra volume on the bike you’ll be fine. Just take it easier on the climbs.

I just decided I wanted to do it solo this year. Cindy is teaming up with another friend of hers, so don’t worry, you’ll see her there this year anyway.
I dunno about streamers this time…I need to come up with something new! But if rroof needs some, I can certainly supply as long as he PROMISES to wear them
Well, I’ve got some black - current fashion compression socks already, so I’m half way there. I’m pretty sure I can’t fit into my daughters grass hula skirt

I am feeling a little burned out with this Tri season already, TTT was going to be my first race, but lately all I want to do is train for Ninja Warrior.
