No but if u haven’t bought the car yet, consider an x3. They have an internal bike rack that is designed by BMW and achieves what you wanna achieve.
or a ford transit van works even better for 1/10th the cost

I have the last model 3 series and I can fit my 58cm B16 in the back seat with the front wheel off. It’s a pain in the ass to get out, but it fits. I’m going to break down and buy the roof rack before next season. I think the new GT is a bigger car though right?

Yeah the Gt is actually bigger than a X1 and trunk is massive. By dropping the middle seat and Turing the handle bars to either side of the other rear seat it should fit comfortably win the Gt roof line
Yeah you’ll be fine then. It clears my roof line and my back seats don’t fold down. Like I said I have a 58cm frame and am 6’4" so my seats kinda high. I can’t have a passenger though because I have to slide my passenger seat all the way forward. Another reason I need a roof rack

As to the OP - why would you consider the GT vs. a tradition wagon/estate (i.e. better driving dynamics) or small SUV (more space)?
Might I suggest the new Audi SQ5, roughly in that price range?

Sure do. Slides right in. Can have 2 bikes in. Or, 3 on the roof that stayed on even at 125mph

Not sure if you found one yet, but rumor is the F30(328/335) bike rack will fit the F34(GT Models). I’m hoping to get to the dealer to test fit it this week. Had to transport my Felt today and it really sucked to have to take the wheels off.
Other option is an invisihitch…looks really cool, but not worth the $600 to me.

Am I the only one who read this subject line and pictured someone setting up a Retul system and cameras inside their car and motioning for people to hop on to take some measurements?
The 3GT has the same rails as well. I’ve been searching craigslist for a used set for a while now without luck.
I have been trying to get one but dealers are not moving on the price, since it’s brand new and there are not that many around. I would have to order one the way I like it

I bought a 2x4 and screwed on some fork mounts for my wife’s X3. The X3 seems to be able to fit 2 bikes side to side. Could fit a third but I think you have to flip the third bike around ie handlebar, rear wheel, handlebar.
