Triathlon websites?

Has anyone come across any good triathlon websites? I am trying to figure out how to put together a social networking site for triathletes and need good ideas. Let me know!

Slowtwitch?

Ha, yeah. I guess I am asking more about features that are most attractive on these sites. What is the best part of slowtwitch?

For me, it’s not so much the features but the members that makes a good forum which leads to the content I need. For example, it seems that slowtwitch has a bunch of top AG’s, pros, industry big wigs, bike stores, mechanics. This will give me the latest information on products, what makes you supposedly fast, best products to use, technical information etc. But I can’t relate to them regarding splits, and times, and windtunnels, and power meter readings, and such because I’m not at that level. So, another forum that appeals to me is beginnertriathlete because it’s made up of people like me, beginners and MOPERS and BOPERs and I can relate to people there. That’s the appeal over there.

Also, each of these boards provide the content in relation to the members. Slowtwitch has articles and reviews by these industry people and bike shop owners. Beginner triathlete creates plans catered to it’s members, beginners.

I think it will be hard to break into the tri forum/site market. One such site comes to mind is http://www.tdottriathlon.com/. They once in a while come into these larger forums and say, “look at this article we got…” But if you look at their forum, no one is there.

Good luck.

LOTS of good articles and knowledgeable folks here at www.transitionsmultisport.com.
