OK - my 15 year old daughter had to watch the show to see if Ono would win. So that is the ONLY reason I was watching!
On the show - Triathlete Mark Fretta comes on to talk about his friend Apolo! Mark gets his 15 seconds of fame on National TV! He also had a great run time in Honolulu last weekend!
You, I mean your daughter, must have been very happy with the outcome of the show… 
I was too ashamed that I was watching it to wonder if anyone else saw it.
I saw it… but then I’m a girl so it’s OK.
I think it’s pretty impressive that they are able to turn athletes/D-list stars/celebrities into ballroom dancers. There is no way that is easy, but it looks like a ton of fun.
She screamed, cried and smiled for 15 min. after he won - Now she wants to know if I can call Mark to see if he can talk to his buddy about sending her a signed picture. (dancing not skating)!
I watched it (but I’m a girl) and I’m ashamed to say, I even went online and voted. I thought Ono was pretty freaking amazing.
If I were king, Jerry Springer, wrestling, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol would be banned from TV.
Oh, and Poker. When did POKER get to be a sport?
I went to high school with a guy who won the World Series of Poker or some such thing, 24 years old, came home with something like $850,000.
He bought a house and BMW and took a full year off work. Might not be a sport, but a good day’s work.
Man! I don’t even watch that show and I taught ballroom and latin dancing for three years!

Unfortunately, we have a firefighter at our station that loves to watch that show and every other reality show. The worst part is that he usually has the remote.
I am so glad I haven’t watched 1 dancing with the stars show. There are wayyyy to many sports on tv right now

All I have to say is that MIss “Blue” makes it ok for any dude to watch…for anyone that doesn’t know who I am talking about. She is Apollo’s partner.

Somebody told me that he is also ranked #2 in the world at what he does (not sure if it was latin or ballroom). Some of the others are similarly high caliber. Good for the show that they are getting the best of the best to showcase the dances.
