Will the TriAmerica race in Irving (Dallas) be wetsuit legal? I need to know if I should pack it or leave it at home. Anybody know the temp of Lake Carolyn?
I can’t imagine the water will be below 80. The “lake” is a very small, manmade pond. The weather here has been warm and dry for quite a while.
It wasn’t wetsuit legal 2 years ago when I did it. Very warm. I’d skip the wetsuit, since you likely won’t get to wear it anyway. If they DO allow wetsuits (I’d be surprised), I’m sure the water will still be pretty warm.
No way it is wetsuit legal. It has been over 95 for days and will be close to 100 for the next several days. It will be like swimming in a hot tub.
No way. Lake water in Texas is at least 80.
Leave the wetsuit at home. Bring a bar of soap instead that way you can get clean while you swim in the bath water. 
At least, that’s what I thought I should’ve done when I did that race last year!
