Wondering what experiences people have had, good or bad. I’ve been looking towards Cervelo, Exte Ondo, and Craft. Even Hincapie Sports is producing one soon that might be worth looking at. Want sleeveless with a long zipper, minimal/no pockets.
I have a Voler one with a pocket in the back. I love everything about it except the end of the zipper part sticks me in the bellowbutton. I have done two HIM, and many sprints with it and love it.
I bought it after being nosed out of the podium in a sprint by a few seconds.
I have a QR with two small pockets on the sides (perfect for a gel or two). Did a HIM in it and loved it. Was pretty comfy on the bike (of course, certain parts still went a little numb) but i would buy another.
I have been using the De Soto sleeveless (and a sleeved one) Power Skinsuit for two years. It’s excellent and it has held up perfectly. Very long zipper, one back pocket. They have some small 2004 versions for $54 at www.desotosports.com.
if youre talking about tri one pieces (i.e. not skinsuits designed solely for TTs), the Speedo Fastskin triathlon suit is awesome, at least on me, it fits like a dream, is real fast, absolutely no chaffing, and looks amazing, bright blue and silver.
My team has had Garneau for the past 2 years. I mostly like it, but the legs are too short for me. I like the stretchy pocket.
This year I’ll race in the Oomph! Kilauea compression short. Very cool with all the built ins (pockets etc) on the shorts. That leaves me the option of shedding the top without losing pockets.
I’ve used the Orca Elite with good success. No pocket, but you can always put a little pockeet on a race belt for the run… The pocket slows the swim… The fabric is great (Ti3) on the Orca stuff.
I love the Orca Elite version (not the regular, the one Craig Walton Sports). Very sleak (but no back pocket), but pricey
