Tri shops in So Cal / Los Angeles area

Are there any other tri specific shops (or bike shops w/ tri gear) in southern CA other than TriLab in Redondo Beach? I’m going to be in the area Sat and Sun and would like to check some places out. I’m still in the market for a new tri bike and wetsuit, so I’d like to try on as many brands of suits and bikes as possible.

Thanks

Do you not like TriLab or do you just want to know about more Tri-specific shops? I live in Torrance and TriLab is the coolest Tri-specific shop I’ve found around here. I found another supposedly tri-specific shop on PCH in Manhattan Beach, but I wasn’t impressed. Can’t remember the name. Helen’s Cycles on Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach is the only place around here that sells Cervelos, as far as I know.

So Cal is a big area. What area specifically are you going to be in?

nytro, hi-tech bike, and b&l,all in sd! Trek superstores in SD have the trek and cervelo tri bikes in stock as well!

Another good store is Triathlete Zombies, in Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica. They recently got a new owner who is working to improve the business.

I haven’t been to the store in MB, but the one in Santa Monica is run by a guy name Scott, who is a fantastic mechanic and a great person to talk to. I think their bike selection in the SM store is a bit small, though. Helen’s in Santa Monica might be a good place to look for bikes; I think they got rid of all their bikes in the westwood store, unfortunately.

I Martin (owned by Helen’s) on Beverly has Cervelos.

But I had to explain to one of their new sales guys what the difference between a tri-bike and a road bike is. He thought the soloist was a tri-bike.

If you are willing to drive to Pasadena, InCycle has a pretty good inventory. In Burbank, there is Bicycle John’s.

Check out Rock n Road Cyclery, they have two locations, in Laguna Hills and Anaheim Hills.

Bikes, wetsuits, gear…Awesome service.

Thanks for all the responses! I’ve never been to TriLab and I hear its a pretty cool place, so I’ll be heading down to Redondo Beach to check them out. I’ll then be heading up to Chino Hills and Pasadena later in the afternoon. I’ll have to Mapquest some of the locations and see how many I can check out.

In LA I like Tri-lab great guys good service. Great location and set up. I bought my Kalibur there. In Orange County I like Ladera Cyclery. My wife bought her Scott Plasma there.
