So I’m planning on doing the guardsman tri in August. The bike course is 51 miles and 7000ft of climbing. I’m trying to decide between my tri bike (Felt ia16) or my road bike (giant tcr). Was looking for some input from anyone that’s done a hilly tri on which bike might be a better choice.
Tri bike, no question.
Can you elaborate at all? Just curious on your thoughts.

What he said, tri bike.
It should be faster, plus you’ll presumably be in better shape for the run coming from the tri bike position versus a road bike position. I would find my road bike more enjoyable for a training or leisure ride on that route, but for a race I’d take the tri bike, and I hate running off my road bike.
