Are there any sweat guards designed for bikes with aero bars. Have one for my road bike but when I swap out the tri bike on the trainer, the extension posts stop the sweat guard. Looking for something to cover to the end of the aero bar if possible.
Sadly I don’t think they make the awesome ty bike cover I use anymore. Was from anaerobic zone, cockpit cover. Was some of the best 29 dollars.i spent on tri. Still using now 10 years later after fails.with bike things and layers of towels.
I use the standard Tacx one. Works fine on my E-114. The key is to cover the headset, and so you can be a bit imaginative, and don’t need it to be totally symmetrical. On an old cover I needed to put it on the outside of one post and the inside of the other, but it still covered what it needed to.
And apologies, I can’t resist. But whilst the lopsided look may frustrate your OCD. Don’t sweat it.
I have one of these - Elite Protect Plus sweat guard… The red edge of the guard almost cuts the skin sometimes when the inner thigh rubs against it.
Something I would recommend is liberal doses of a corrosion resisting spray and anti-microbial spray - Muc-Off do some good products which I think are invaluable; other brands may now be producing competing products.
For me the thing that reduced the sweat on the bike was a super high volume fan positioned about 5 feet straight in front of me. It’s an 18 inch metal wall mount fan used in industrial buildings. It was $60 on Amazon. It seems to evaporate nearly all the sweat off me before it drips on the bike. I do still keep a towel on my handlebars.
I had one from Blackburn, not sure if they still make them that I was able to stretch across the bars. Not sure if it would work on every setup or if they even still make them.
I just use a small hand towel draped over the aerobar ends. For covering the stem / drop bar / aerobar pads - I use one of the many gatorade towels I picked up at random triathlons.
