Trek speed concept owners- - - - -small

Theres no local trek dealer near where I live and im wanting to get a Trek speed concept. So for anyone who owns a SMALL speed concept, please let me know your height.
Id like to know the ranges of the tallest and shortest owners of the small speed concept.
Thanks

I am 5’8 with a 30" inseam and believe I am in between a small (52) and a medium (54) and could fit on either.

Oh wow, im 5’3" with a 29.5inch inseam. Im thinkin I may have to go with either a Small frame with the shortest stem possible and 165mm cranks. or and XS which would require less tweaking. BUT I’ve already got 700c race wheels and dont want to have to buy another set of 650c race wheels.

They have the stack and reach numbers here on the ST. (see Stack & Reach at the top of the page).

I would think that your fitter, assuming you have one, to compare either your current fit or by putting you on a Fit bike.

Yeah, I think you’ll want more information before making your decision, but I’m a little over 5’8".

5’10" and I sold, too small

You really shouldn’t go off of height for sizing this bike. Most riders can be fit across 2 or even 3 frame sizes by varying stem length/height, aero bars and pad spacers. The best approach is to use your current bike position as a starting point, assuming you are already riding a tri bike. Trek has this fit guide which shows you how to pull current fit coordinates from your bike and where those coordinates put you on the various SC 9 bike frame sizes. If you are looking at a 2 or 7 series you can back the frame stack and reach out of the 9 sizing info. You can also use your existing fit coords. from the Trek SC fit guide to check with Carl from Trek here on ST for a sizing recommendation.

Use your own measurements, but for a point of reference, my wife rides a small 9.9 and is 5’-4" with a 30.3" inseam. Your torso and arm length plus how rotated you ride are just as important. She uses the 50/10 stem and almost no pad spacers on the base bar. She has a fairly aggressive position though there’s not much room to go lower.

I sympathize on the wheel sizing. We’ve had to make the same decision before. It looked for a while that 650c might be going away. Now it appears to be coming back. Zipp has 650c FC 404s available and ST’s favorite tire, the Conti GP4000s, comes in 650c. So don’t let the wheels alone make your decision. Your fit is much more important over the long term.

Hope this helps!

I have a small 9 series frame set for sale for $2100 shipped

I’m 5’4" with ~30in inseam. I could ride the small, but I can’t get low enough. I went with xs and it is perfect - rides like a road bike, wonderful. That doesn’t mean small isn’t better for you.
