I’m taking a break the gym, and I’m very bored with long slow road runs. Curious whether anyone has any good workouts combining treadmill intervals and bodyweight exercises, i.e., pushups, pullups, dips, situps, etc.
I do this all the time, keeps the heart rate up and makes for a very fun workout. I dont just do body weight exercises, I also throw in some dumbbell circuits as well.
Keep the intervals short and really explode on the lifts/circuit. I dont focus on a set number of reps per exercise, I just do as many as I can for the time allotted while keeping good form.
It’s best to do this while the gym is a little less crowded so you dont take the chance of someone taking one of your stations while you’re running, and so you have less eye looking at the crazy guy running back and forth every couple of minutes. ![]()
