Training while sick? (2)

Ive been dealing with a throat infection for the last week or so and lost my voice in the past few days. Heres the deal:

Workout yesterday: 1.5km swim. I felt alright during the swim but when i got out of the pool i was unusually giddy, had a headache and felt slightly feverish

Workout today: I was supposed to do a hard 5k with 1.6km wu/cu, but about 1.5km into the main set i found it difficult to breathe and my body just felt really weak. I stopped at the 3k mark and called it a day.

I have a brick scheduled for tomorrow and a long run the day after. I have a mini tune-up race next sunday and am ultimately building up to HIM Singapore on 22nd March.

So STers, should I just skip the rest of the week’s workouts and rest or should I just HTFU and keep pushing?

Never train when you are sick and for sure not with a throat infection. Throat infection can be caused by some bad virusses that you should not give a change at all to spread in the body. Skip the workouts until at least the throat infection is gone.

Never train when you are sick, you are ill because your immune system down. Training will only cause more damage to your immune system, especially being cold in the pool.

Get rest and get your vitamins down you, return to training when your better.
