Just looking for some advice. I have the crud that is going around and coughing like a mother for the past 2 days and feeling a bit weak. I am training for CdA so I have a bit of time until June, but I hate just taking days off. Very light training? No training and just get lots and lots of rest and fluids? Try to go hard and hack it out of my system?
Sorry, I am on day 11th. Yesterday I did my first run, if I could call it that. Today was my first swim and bike, again,
if I could call them that. Anytime something is below the neck, no training. Unless you want to end up in the hospital.
This one is NOT one to mess around with. A least you have until June. I have Boston in April. Oh well
I’m with you. sick after a really good week of training last week. i took yesterday and today completely off. i just walked around the block with my dog as exercise - and that’s it.
I think you’d be doing yourself a dis-service to train through sickness - let your body do it’s work and recover. However that’s just what works for me. Typically if i get a cold or the flu i sleep a lot for 2-3 days and then feel a hell of a lot better. Sleep is your friend at times like this.
