Training volume this year by %

What is yours?
Mine is:
Bike 46%
Run 28%
Everything else 26% (includes swimming, gym, and weighted hiking)

What kind of percentages do pros maintain?

Looks like you got a good percentage break down. I am trying to do all 3 equally, with some emphasis on swim. However, I am trying to put serious work on all 3 equally. With the weights, I need to incorporate them more. When I am not doing swim, bike,or run (off day? if such???), I do weights. Because, I don’t want to have the triathlete bird chest body. (Not knocking the pros)…I am just greedy…I want speed and looks.

good question, never looked at it like this…

16.87% swim
50.41% bike(!)
22.35% run
10.37% other stuff, mainly strength & core work

cycling is very new to me hence the focus this year, been upping the run mileage of late so those two will balance out better in a couple of months months - maybe get to 45/27 bike/run.

Swim 21.4%
Run 26.9%
Bike 50.0%
other 1.8% (ellipitical trainer, stair climber)

i don’t log my time for strength training/stretch, etc. Running is a bit low as I had knee surgery this summer and didn’t run for a month.

Hmmm… I do twice as much cyling vs. running with a healthy mix of core & weights. My guess would be:

60% bike

30% run

10% core, yoga, weights

S: 19.7%
B: 38.7%
R: 41.6%

That is from 11/01/05 to 10/31/06. Weights aren’t included.

Leading up to LP:

Swim - 33%
Bike - 48%
Run - 18% !!!

Guess that explains my very poor long distance run splits!

Since LP:

Swim - 22%
Bike - 44%
Run - 27%

90% bike and 10% weights/core.

Ric

I assume this is percentage based on time, so:
20% Swim
50% Bike
30% Run
.

S/B/R = 23/45/32

Doesn’t include some core work I did for about half the year before ditching it.

Using EEPs (Empfield Equivalent Points, approved by the Swedish Doodes)…

S: 34%
B: 35%
R: 31%
