I’m currently running on asics tri noosa 8 shoes and I love them, but I feel it’s not the right shoe for long training runs or low pace runs. I prefer them for speed training and HIM. What shoe should I consider for training to have the same kind of support/fit but more cushion? I tough the asics ds trainer 18 ?
Thanks
Isn’t the ds trainer the same sole as the noosa? Noosas gave me shin issues and I’ve since moved to saucony guides with no regrets.
.
i rock the noosa, ds trainer and ds racer.
race HIM to IM, training and HIM and IM racing (in shape)
Try the Kayano. I find the fit similar and you can find them on sale at running warehouse if you don’t mind last years model. I think the 18 is out and I have some 17’s and 16’s stockpiled. I can’t tell a lot of difference between them. Noosa is mt tri shoe and Kayano is my marathon and every day training shoe.
If ASICS work for you, then stick with another ASICS shoe.
I’ve been training in their Nimbus for many years. But, there are plenty of other ASICS options that are more cushioned than the Noosa. (GT-2000, Kayano, etc…, as others have mentioned.)
