I’ve been following Friel’s triathletes training bible for my first Ironman this year, IM Wisconsin. I’ve been competing for the past 3 years in races up to 1/2 IM distance races, usually winning/placing in my age group.
I’m in Base 3 right now and everything seems to be going according to plan as I completed a 100 mile ride at the end of Base 2. I havent decided what to do for the last 2 periods. Should I do 2 Builds (ie more speed workouts), or a 4th Base and 1 Build?
Actually, since you are using Trainingbible, why don’t you ask the same question on its forum. I use it too and that’s where I always ask my technical training questions. Sometime you will get an answer from Mr. Friel or Gordo himself. Have you bought/read “Going Long” yet? It has a lot of answers.
