Training Log Profile Feature

Hey guys, I know you wanted some feedback. i tried editing my profile information in the log and it wouldn’t accept my height as valid.

For the height, what numbers did you enter? What kind of error did you get (error message)?

5 in the ft box and 11 in the in box. it said invalid ht wt.

I had the same issue. I tried entering my height in US (5 in the first box and 10 in the second) and in metric (1 in the first box and 77 in the second, hopefully my math is right) and got a message saying “Invalid height”. The message was in small purple print under the height field.

I tried entering just my height and nothing happened, the system didn’t seem to process my request. I then filled in every field, clicked enter and the site seemed to be processing the information (the green time bar at the bottom of my Explorer window was showing this time). Then the profile screen came up, with none of the information I had just entered and the message saying invalid height.

A couple of things on this screen…

The field box where you enter your birthday doesn’t display the format that it’s expecting until after you change focus away form the input box. Just display the format permanently on the screen.
When I enter my height in imperial measurements (side note, it’s called ‘Imperial’ as opposed to ‘U.S. Customary’) and then click on the ‘metric’ radio button, it keeps the numbers the same. It would be good if toggleing between the two would would convert between the two units. Same thing for weight.
The profile picture doesn’t seem to work. I tried to upload a couple of different pictures but no luck. If there is a size restriction, it should be noted on the screen.

she works, but you should still have the date feature format already listed on the page unless will accept all formats. I know that’s picky but it just makes things easier

I still can’t load a picture.

I did put in my height and other profile details and that worked.

What error do you get (if any)? Can you attach the image to this thread so I can try it with the same image?

I didn’t get an error message. I browsed to find the picture location, clicked enter and the site seemd to process my request but my picture just didn’t show up.

The picture I wanted is on my home computer. I tried this one just now as it’s one I have on my work computer and it didn’t seem to work either. It’s a jpg and only 31kb so size shouldn’t be an issue. I also tried various other images I have on this computer and none of those seemed to work.

Hi Petter,

I’ve now tried adding a weblink from Picassa but it still doesn’t work. I entered http://picasaweb.google.com/nospmohta/TRINFOOL?authkey=CJhlMBFpkO8#5246671867589415298 into the Change Profile Image box and it isn’t working.

This is getting seriously annoying! Especially as I’m getting the feeling I’m doing something wrong.

Ah, I’m sorry. I wasn’t clear, I meant for you to post the image to this thread by using a public url, not to the training log edit profile page.
That way I could test it with the same image.

I think I have figured out the issue though.
To get technical: IE sometimes uses a made up MIME type for progressive JPEG images “image/pjpeg”. This is not a valid MIME type, so the upload failed.
But now that I know IE does this, I will add this MIME type to the supported list. I will also make sure there’s a reasonable error message if something goes wrong.

You can try uploading the image to the training log using firefox, which should work.

I will try to fix this IE issue in the next few days.
