alright… i have a quick question people…
what is the distance (circumference) in the 7th lane of a standard 8 lane 200 meter indoor track?
I’m guessing around 225 m… does anyone know the correct length?
(Its the University of Toronto’s track if anyone is wondering, and i believe it has the internationally
standard measurments)
what’s the width of the lanes?
measure the distance of the stagger for the 200m dash. Add that distance to 200 and that should give you your distance of lane 8. I doubt it is 25m
if i knew that… this would be grade 8 math, but i have no clue…
whatever the standard distance is?

200 + pi * (2nx) where n is the number of lanes outside lane 1 and x is the width of a lane. Assuming that the straights are each 50m long.
Lane 7 = 224 meters, assuming lane width of 42 inches (standard width for college and high school outdoor tracks in US, so might be different for the track in question)
Based on:
Dave the outer lane at RMC/CMR field house is 235m.
