Tour de Georgia TT results

Why man, I don’t know!!

I’m stoked for Floyd though. One thing that sucks about the whole Lance thing is the he can’t just be a cyclist. Sure he’s marketed himself to get to that point but it’s like if he isn’t first over the line then he’s a failure. WTF???

F’ing Landis!!

Nice work Floyd. So now I’ve got ZZ Top running through my head. That’s greeaaat.

Given the poor conditions I wonder if Floyd took particular advantage of his mad MTB/BMX skills to push the envelope. One would think his once-broken hip would breed some caution (anyone know if he ever had that hardware removed?), so maybe it was less risk taking and more pure fitness, in which case he could be looking good to hold this lead on through Brasstown Bald and the finish.

Jittery Joe’s coffee is pretty good. The serving directions are wrong, but the coffee is good. If you are ever in Athens, GA they have a great coffee shop. Maybe LA needs a cup. Maybe he knows that in 10 years no one will remember if he won or lost the TdGA. Everyone will know if he wins or loses the TdF.

I thought Lance would make his move today as well. He moved up yesterday, so I thought he was putting himself in position to smoke the TT and take the leader’s jersey. Maybe it was the rain that slowed him down, maybe he isn’t on form. Maybe he wants Danielson to do well. Who knows?

It was interesting, though – last year, Lance was the only rider to break 40:00. This year it was Landis. That’s a tough course. I guess we’ll have to sit back and see what happens in the mountains. I wonder if Jittery Joe’s will send a rider up the road on Brasstown Bald like they did last year.

Everyone has already forgotten about Dauphine last year… Shame on these people.

Jaylew, how’s the RR going?

Oh man!! This looks like it’s shaping up to be one awesome race. That is, of course, if all the big teams are playing to win. I’d love to see Floyd play the rabbit and see how he does. Bobby J is in a nice spot.

Haven’t done one lately. Brazil prep has taken priority.

Has anyone noticed that almost all of the Americans in the Euro peloton are good TT guys?

I see that Jittery Joes is racing.

Has anyone had that coffee? I’d help support a team if it is not too bad.

I have. It’s good. I’m not a connuseiur (sp?), so I can’t speak to it’s bouquet and color

It’s great to support the team! There a great group of guys.

Best,

Robert

.

My bets guess on the TT thing is that most of our races are crits, which have little bearing on euro type racing. So if your euro team director you look at TT results as an indicator.

Check out Levi’s front Wheel.

Is the the new HED wheel Gary was talking about?

…couldn’t really see anything noteworthy in Julich’s position. Checkout how forward Landis is…hard to believe he’s sittin’ on anything!

That front wheel looks incredibly close to the frame…perhaps it is the way the picture is taken.

Just got back from Rome, Ga from the TT. I have down loaded some pictures if someone will tell me how to post them.

Mine switches from time to time but my last is Jitterys DOPERS SUCK brand. $15 a pound and something like $8 goes to the Junior Cyclocross World’s Team. Hey if you are going to drink the stuff you might at least support something besides the Evil Empire. Can’t wait to see the Cyclism Sunday. Go Floyd and Bobby J.

“Has anyone noticed that almost all of the Americans in the Euro peloton are good TT guys?”

Yes, and have you noticed that they are all about the same age?

When this group retires (Lance, Julich, Levi, Landis, Hincapie) I feel that it will be the end of an era … for a while (maybe 5-10 years).
