I would have thought Lance would have ruled the roost on this one. Guess I was wrong.
I heard it was raining the whole time, So I imagine Lance took it easy not wanting to risk a crash.
It rained very hard when Lance was riding the TT.

Way to go Floyd!
In another thread, I mentioned, IMHOP, Lance has been “phoning it in” in his early season prep.
Do I hear the phones jingling?
or
As Sheryl, lamely sings, “The first cut is the deepest…”
Loving it in Austin, “Center of the Triathlon Universe,”

F’ing Landis!!
Nice work Floyd. So now I’ve got ZZ Top running through my head. That’s greeaaat.
It was raining for most of the TT, and I’m guessing that those that had more to prove took bigger risks. There are a couple mountain stages yet to come that could sort out the leader board some more and not be as risky. If I were trying to win my 7th TDF and retire, I’d be conservative on a wet TT. Who knows?
I’m wondering if Lance is soft and lame, or is he playing poker right now holding it back for the TdF. Normally, by this point in the season, he has shown some semblance of solid results. I guess we’ll see the true Lance in July or perhaps as early as the Dauphine in Jun ?
Hey Pooks, why is it that whenever Lance doesn’t win a race everyone feels the need to chime in with excuses for him?
He didn’t win a race. Big deal. He wasn’t taking it easy. Tom D, Bobby and others also were in the rain. He lost fair and square. Does that mean he will/won’t win the Tour? Of course not.
Reminds me of the Dauphine last year. Everyone was saying how bad Lance looked and how strong Mayo and Hamilton were. I’m sure people will make the same predictions this year.
Hey Pooks, why is it that whenever Lance doesn’t win a race everyone feels the need to chime in with excuses for him?<<
On the flip side, when he doesn’t win a race, why does everyone say he’s soft, out of shape, washed up, whatever?
That said, GO BOBBY J!

What does the GC look like now. The TDG website is not that great or maybe I can not find it.
Lance was 4" up on everyone before the day started. Well, up on everyone that finished in the top 6 of the TT.
I see that Jittery Joes is racing.
Has anyone had that coffee? I’d help support a team if it is not too bad.
the results I just looked at have Lance in 5th overall 6 second back. Next key player (pretty much everyone else in fact) are looming another4 back of Lance. Still pretty much anybodys race
Those would have to be yesterday’s results. Landis was 4 seconds behind Lance this morning and finished 1’46" behind Floyd today so he’ll be sitting quite a bit down on GC when they finally post the results.
Disco sure has a lot of work to do if they want to win this race.

The original results seemed to forget Leipheimer who came in 6th (40’48) a minute in front of Lance. The American’s seem to be doing quite well here.
Roughly calculating, it looks like it will shake out like this:
Landis
Baldwin
O’Neill
Danielson
Zabriskie

how bout a little love for DZ taking 2nd in front of all those studs? I met him 3 years ago after i first started triathlon at a halloween party at my house. he was wearing a postal fleece so i said, “oh are you into cycling” or something of that nature. he said, “oh, no not really”. how is that for being modest? he is one of the future stars of American cycling.
You’re absolutely right, Dave is a super-nice and modest guy, perfect fit for Team CSC. Pretty good bowler too, though not as good as Bobby J.
