Torque setting for Cervelo P3C saddle clamp

Does anyone know the correct Torque setting for the saddle rail clamp on a P2/3 C seatpost. Don’t want to end up with the saddle pointing downwards!

Thanks,

Tim

It is 4 Newton Meters as labelled on the part:

Hi Tom I actually ment the seatpost head/saddle rail clamp that fits in either on the 2 holes.

I don’t know what the exact torque specs are, but tighten it as hard as you can. There is an alloy ring inside the seatpost, you’re not going to crack it.

Oh, I don’t know that…

Well the P3c is certain “No ordinary rabit”

I think it is 10Nm.

12 Nm…here’s some specific instructions from Cervelo customer support.

THIS IS FOR THE CLAMPS THAT HOLD YOUR SADDLE IN PLACE…NOT THE ACTUAL SEAT POST.

Saddle tipping can occur in cases where proper torque on the head assembly bolt is not ensured. Here are some tips for making the post work as it was intended.Â
ï‚· Grease the head bolt before tightening.
ï‚· The proper torque for the bolt is 12Nm.Â
 A common oversight made by many first time users of this seat post is that the bolt must be tightened using two tools. The torque wrench with appropriate bit on one side and a 5mm hex key on the other. The bolt will spin if not held in place with the second tool.
