Will you have a car while you are there?
You should check out Endurosport.

go for a run down on the boardwalk on the beaches. Go see the fireworks display at Ontario Place…at least I think it is still there. Since you will be here for Canada Day try and partake in the festivities, you won’t regret it.
Yep, I’ll have a car and now plan on visiting Endurosport. The cool thing is that I’ll have my dad with me (I’m 34 and it’s a bit of a bonding trip) and I’ll bring him over to the shop.
He still does the whole head shake thing at me when I go over some of my training numbers. To quote, “Only fools get up at that time.”

B.
As far as tri-stores go, nothing can match Endurosport.
Like the ideas mentioned, might also want to try taking the ferry over to Centre Island for some alternative running. You can get a good 10k in there.
If you like bike racing, there’s a big Canada Day criterium (25th Annual CHIN International Grand Prix) at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) grounds on the waterfront. First race is at 7:30am and the Men’s Pro/Am starts at 2:15pm. For more information, check out www.midweekclub.com.

Endurosport is probably the best tri dedicated store in Toronto, but some of the dedicated bike shops IMO have more interest if you’re into cycling.
One of my favorites is La Bicicletta if you just want to drool over high end bikes and components. Ask for Heath. He used to be a sales manager for Cervelo but is now at La Bicicletta.

Also check out Running Free (http://runningfree.ca/). Good multiport store, great guys, cheap prices. No bikes, though.
You bringing a bike? If so, the Donut Ride will be leaving at 8:55 from the corner of Laird and Eglinton every day that weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Do a search on “Donut Ride” to get an idea of what it’s like…it’s a good, fun ride, though slightly anarchy-like in nature.
Where are you staying?

City of Toronto Discovery Walks:

Some of these make amazing runs or bike rides (leisurly bike rides I should say).
Waterfront trail, 350km trail around Lake Ontario.

What kind of stuff are you and dad into?
Knowing would help with some of the suggestions…
