Saw a mock up at Interbike on the new Felt…my only concern is how secure it will be…the one I handled could be removed with almost no effort, which sounds great in theory but not when you head across some of the roads down here in TN at speed. I have to think that it will be a bit more snug, other than that it is just a bit of an awkward shape (which isn’t a huge issue for me because I have freakishly big hands)

Correct. And it will be a snug fit. The proto you saw at Interbike is just that, a prototype. More to come very soon.

For the DA specific version of VR bottle, I assumed it’s based on the 2012 model. Will the DA specific version fit a 2007 DA? or the universal holder fits better?

Yes, the universal cage will fit pre 2010 DA frames.

I recently purchased the 2012 Felt B12. Do you recommend the Felt version of the VR or the universal?
