Not sure what happened to Paula Findlay, Caroline Steffen, Julie Dibens, Mary-Beth Ellis, Emma Moffat, Barbara Riveros-Diaz.
I’m Canadian so probably a bit biased, but would have thought Paula Findlay would have made the list as well. Mary Beth Ellis performance this year is also worthy of consideration. Just my thoughts.
Would have liked to Rachel Joyce up there with 3rd at Kona and 1st at ITU Long Dis WC.
Stoked to see Rollinson in 3rd though - what a cracker year for her!! Expecting even bigger things from her in 2012. If she steps up to IM I think she has the geniune athleticism to push CW.
They really need to divide these things into two categories. It is like trying to compare a pitcher to a top hitter, they just have such a different set of skills, it is hard to rank each against the other. Of course there are a lot of name left off, but then again there are only 10 spots, so at least 15+ possible top 10’ers will be left off no matter what.
And Findlay seems like she ought be there somewhere, i know she was injured for a lot of the year, but didn’t she race early season?? I mean she has probably the best shot at winning a gold medal in the olympics next year, ought to be top 10 at least…
