So I am a wanna be Chef…what I saw on Top Chef tonight was one of the most selfless acts I have ever seen on “reality TV”…wow…
Do you think she really thought the other chef was getting sent home? After her outburst, I certainly thought she was leaving already, with or without the “sacrifice.” I wonder if she already knew that.
I think she did the right thing. I also think she was extremely stressed (and totally unprofessional) and may regret her decision once she gets her equilibrium back. I can’t believe Michael is still there. Marcel makes me crazy; he’s a freak, but seems to be a talented freak.
The two major mistakes made by Elia. Only having three dishes was a huge screwup. Not having enough food on the table was an even bigger screwup. Both of these errors were a result of poor decision making and execution by the team leader.
It’s top chef, not top cook. Being able to manage is part of being a chef and Elia failed miserably. If it were just cooking, then yeah Elia probably deserves to stay.
my version of a cookbook is the restaurant section of the phone book, but Top Chef is a great show. I’m amazed at how talented these people really are. I’m not sure where all that loyalty came from. Wasn’t Elia one of the ones who was ignoring her advice when they were planning their menu?
