I picked this up on BikeSnobNYC. “Comedian” Tom Segura, coming out with the same tired shtick about cars being bigger than bikes, and bikers therefore needing to get out of the way.

Pretty obvious, from the looks of him, he doesn’t do much biking. I’d guess he has a big car too, if you know what I’m saying…

Best part of the whole shtick is the crowd didn’t find it funny. They kinda gave him the hee hee, but for the most part, they were very subdued.

He did get one part right, it’s jail time if you hit me. :slight_smile:

I don’t agree with anything he was saying and some of it was really over the top un-funny for sure.

So why did I sit there and laugh?

Exactly, just a joke not a movement for people to get behind the steering wheel with homicidal intentions

In terms of delivery I really think he could have done more with the joke, perhaps that is why I have never heard of this guy before.

The sad thing is, real comedians come up with their own material. Douchebags like this rip off material from people who came before, hoping that no one notices. While I hated every second of that poorly crafted schtick, truth is, it’s been done before… better. Idiots like this will undoubtedly get their own special, and make a ton of cash in the process. It speaks more about the sad state of standup these days than anything else IMO.
