To buy or to wait for Canyon Speedmax CFR?

I have the Canyon Speedmax CFR on my radar to buy.
I’d like to have one against next summer 2024.

Should I try to order one when one comes available on the website or should I wait for an update or newer model to come out near future?
Does anyone know how easy/hard it is to even order one online cause all the CFR are out of stock.

Canyon has a 72 hour sale going on right now. You can save an extra 10% and there are a two CFR models from what I can see. You can always wait, and then wait and then wait and then you won’t get one until 2025 (I think you get the point). The markdowns seem enough to buy if you want the bike and you have the money, but thats just my opinion.

I could be wrong, but I’ve been told that if something goes wrong with your Canyon, you are responsible for shipping it back to Germany for repairs under warranty.

If this is true, might be something to consider going with Canyon.
But if you are set on a Canyon, but it. Their stock is always low and you could end up waiting forever.

If in the US they go to the California facility.

In Belgium there is a service point in Leuven if I’m informed right.

I had some warranty work required several years ago and they got me the parts I needed and then authorizezd payment of $X.XX to cover the repairs at my local bike shop.

wrong on this, but if you have problems with the groupset you have to go to a bike shop to file a claim with SRAM or Shimano and it’s totally farked up…
