Can somebody give me a link to a tire comparison chart that has real mileage numbers. My GF is getting 9K (three times) on her Continental Sport Contact II’s and it just seems crazy.
That’s not unheard of for high-speed-rated tires such as those Contis. Anything above a V rating and you should expect 12-15k at the most.
Certain cars also have suspension setups with more negative camber, which also wears the tires more rapidly. Driving habits also have a certain effect.
With high-speed tires, you’re WAY ahead if you’re getting 15k out of a set. She might be able to fins an H-rated set in the size she needs, but it won’t drive the same with regard to tire grip.
Its a high performance tire. I replace tires every 8,000 miles (440 HP at the rear wheels). And no, I didn’t answer your question but its kind of like asking about running shoes. It depends on the speed rating, the car its on, how aggressive one corners and the right foot. Her results are not out of line for someone that likes to drive. Best.
