Ironically, I’m hosting this pic on Tiny Pic. What are some viable alternatives?

Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time.
I hear Photobucket is a good option.
The only place I ever used Tiny Pic was here. And since we got the picture from file option I haven’t done that either. The internet moved on. Time to shut down the buggy whip factory.
That’s funny - I didn’t realize you could upload directly. That TinyPic deal was bothersome anyway…
Sucks… given that 90% of all image attachments on this forum are hosted by Tinypic.

If you don’t want to see forums full of broken images, the only viable option is to host all images on same server as forums. But that’s a lot of space needed (over years) for forum owners/admins.

Ha! I faithfully followed the instructions on the sticky thread up top… “Things to know about this forum” (March 7 2007). Perhaps you should amend the decades old thread (along with repainting the garage walls and cleaning out the attic).

perhaps you’re right. still, as i’m writing this i’m looking at an image upload icon. and if you reply to what i write you’ll see the image icon too.

Yes, there it is! I’ve never clicked it before to see the dialogue box…
But given the endless laments by other users as to how crappy it is in 2019 to be uploading files to TinyPic I had assumed it was for linked images only, not uploads.

i made a change to the sticky post at the top of the forum that i hope represents a helpful update.
