Timing of Cytomel

I take levothyroxine (T4) and cytomel (T3) daily.
A question for those of you who take cytomel as part of your thyroid medication…
When do you take cytomel 1) on a “normal” day, 2) on a hard training day, and 3) on the day of an event?
Normally I take it first thing in the morning but it seems like if I take it before I do a hard training or race effort then my heart rate goes up too much and I’m breathing too hard. It seems like maybe I need to either SKIP cytomel on those days or take it AFTER all training/racing is done for the day.
Any suggestions? Personal experiences?

I take cytomel. I split it, take half in the morning at 5am or when I wake up and the other half around lunch time, if I remember. Works for me.

Both should be taken on an empty stomach no matter what time of day. I would not recommend skipping days, as this could throw off your levels depending on how many days you skip. Your thoughts about taking them later in the day are preferable to skipping.
