Timex Team Blog

This is a blatant bit of promotion, although I don’t get any reward of any kind for posting this, for click-throughs, or anything of the sort. I’m just posting this because I think it’s something some people here might enjoy.

As part of an effort to be more involved in the community at large, the Timex Team website has been updated from that old page of “athlete profiles” to a living, breathing blog. Everyone on the team contributes, including some regular columns from Team Grogan on running a triathlon family business, from Super Sergio Marques on training for Kona, from yours truly on Geek Topics like aerodynamics and choosing the right tire, and from several other athletes on things like women’s issues, Clydesdale stuff, and more.

Check out the blog here: http://teamtimex.timexblogs.com/

With over forty people on the team, there is new stuff there all the time. You are free to leave comments on any of the posts.

Really, this was designed as a way to put the people on the team in touch with more athletes. If there is something you like, don’t like, would like to hear about, don’t like hearing about, want to hear more about, etc. PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

It’s not designed to be a mill for favorable reviews of sponsor product. So you won’t find things like “10 reasons why my Timex watch is better than Brand X.” It’s got a lot of great race reports from IM-winning pros and just happy to finish age-groupers, as well as articles on all aspects of triathlon, all written by people on the team, not by any marketing department.

Anyway, I hope you all take look and, hopefully, become regular readeers.

Thanks.
