Does anyone know whether a Polar HRM strap can be detected by a bodylink system Timex watch or vice versa (the timex band and polar watch)? Just wondering whether you need to by the full system if you already have a Polar coded watch (S610, although also have a non coded Polar chest strap)

Just for you, I just did an experiment with my Polar HRM strap and my watch from the Timex Bodylink system and…no dice. Zippo.

I think they both work on completely different premises, the Timex uses FM frequency whereas the Polar uses something else so no, they will not.
