bummer!

i finished just out of the legit spots then. 7th

i already scrounged a non-rolldown at mooseman, but i was hoping to finish in the non-rolldown places here.

a 4:31 and still only 7th… man times are getting tough!

I was wondering the same thing. Where can one go to find out who got a Clearwater spot and how far the rolldown went?

Am I the only one who is consistently disappointed with Ironman’s race results? (and the lack thereof). They certainly don’t make it easy.

once they post official results yo should be able to find out the 70.3 qualifiers here:

http://www.ironmanusa.com/results/index.php

just check the 70.3 qualifier box when you do your search
.

I dunno, I think they do a pretty awesome job. 5 minutes after I finished I got a text from my wife at home “Nice negative split on the last 3.25 miles! Way to kick it in! Bummer you only got 5th in AG despite the PR! Looks like Patsy is having a great race also!”

You could sit there at the park with your phone and figure out within a minute or two when people you knew were going to be coming through transition or finishing.

I’m right there with you. I got my rolldown slot at Rhode Island. Yesterday I posted a 4:39 tin the 35-39 ag, thinking that should put me close to top 10. I was 22nd in AG!! Really shocked.

Athlete tracking is cool, I agree. But, let’s say that I want to lookup last year’s Clearwater Timberman qualifiers. Where do I go? Was Timberman a qualifier last year?

Timberman was sold to IM last fall, so last year there was a different timing company (lin-mark). I think they planned to put up a list of Clearwater qualifiers from 2009 Timberman on the old timbermantri.com website (gone now) but never got around to it.

For this year, the Timberman results will I’m sure be in the Ironman format where one of the fields you can sort by is “Clearwater qualifiers”. You can check out the results for 2010 Mooseman to see what it will look like, I think they had them up a day or two after the race.

Ok, then how about Augusta? It was certainly a 70.3 mdot race last year. Why can’t I find Clearwater qualifiers there either?

Terrible results and archival system for such a big company. Also, they should have “official” results posted no more than 24 hours after a race IMO.

2009 qualifiers are here: https://www.lin-mark.us/results_files/qualify09.txt

it’s a 70.3 race in florida in november when i live in NY. it was likely the only race that was easy to “sell” to my wife. honestly i am not looking for an epic experience, just looking to race in florida when everyone up here is dealing with cold and rainy crappy weather.

Ditto
I a looking for Clearwater qualifiers from Augusta 2009…nuthin. Argh!
