I would guess that you would wear them over your shorts for the same reasons that you mentioned, as long as they don’t slide around. Once I got a pair of leg warmers though, I have never worn tights again.
We are going ice biking tonight. And I am going to to put my tights over. And wind pants over top of everthing . I am trying out new shoe thermal insoles. The feet get cold and booties get riped by the studs (screws).
I prefer leg warmers over tights (thats wat the pros are using also). Wear them under your shorts so they wont move when pedaling. They are much more versatile than tights: you can wear them during the warm up for example and slide them down anytime you like.
you obviously have never mt. biked with tights and shorts…you wear the tights under the shorts or else you will catch your shorts when going behind the seat or getting out of the saddle to descend steeper pitches…
The amen was to your previous post. When I see people wearing underwear with there bike shorts I want to give them a slap and a wedgie. Not necessarily in that order.
You gotta provide the slap, I think they get the wedgie for themselves! But, Cullen you got to check the posters monikers, the other Julian is, I’m pretty certain, Probably ejoying better weather than me.

I used to ride w/ a friend who wore tightey whitey’s under his tri-shorts. What’s up with that?
I was going to say that but then read that Fred remark . My tights won’t fit over the bike shorts, and if they did I think they would catch on my seat as I slid off the back stood etc.

Good point about the mountain biking. I’ve made that mistake.
I guess there is a Fred Exemption available for mtn bikers wearing tights under shorts.
